I'm a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Florida International University (FIU), under the supervision of Dr. Yanzhao Wu. Please call me Jawad.

I conduct research on Large Language Models (LLMs), Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT), Agentic AI, and the privacy and security challenges arising in LLM training.

My journey into AI began during my undergraduate years, where I developed GSNet, an attention-based 3D glioma segmentation network, and contributed to several peer-reviewed publications, which further strengthened my interest in research and reproducibility.

Recently, I built EFT-LR, a framework designed to benchmark learning-rate policies in PEFT, and co-authored research exploring LLM jailbreaking in transportation systems.

I'm actively looking for Summer Internship opportunities focused on LLM-based systems, applied AI, AI Security, and machine learning research.
